DESCRIPTION

LPG Changeover and Appliances course is for gas engineers who currently hold either Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety (CCN1) or Core Commercial Gas Safety (COCN1) and are looking to work on LPG appliances in permanent dwellings, residential park homes & leisure accommodation vehicles.

There is also a renewal available at checkout for anybody looking to renew the certification.

This course covers:

  • CONGLP1 | Core LPG Safety (Change-Over from Natural Gas)
  • + PD | Permanent Dwellings
  • + LAV | Leisure Accommodation Vehicles
  • + RPH | Residential Park Homes
  • HTRLP2 | Closed Flue LPG Fires 

Our course includes training and assessment on the below subjects:

  • CONGLP1 PD – PERMANENT DWELLINGS
  • CONGLP1 LAV – LEISURE ACCOMMODATION VEHICLES
  • CONGLP1 RPH – RESIDENTIAL PARK HOMES
  • GAS EMERGENCY ACTIONS AND PROCEDURES
  • CHARACTERISTICS OF LPG
  • LPG SUPPLY PRESSURES -OPERATION AND POSITIONING OF EMERGENCY ISOLATION, FLOW
  • CONTROLS AND VALVES FOR CYLINDERS
  • CYLINDER LOCATION, SAFETY AND SIZING
  • INSTALLATION OF PIPEWORK AND FITTINGS. RANGE OF PIPE SIZES: 6 MM TO 28 MM
  • TIGHTNESS TESTING (PD, LAV AND RPH). TOTAL IV ≤ 0.035 M³. OP ≤ 37 MBAR

PREREQUISITES

Initial: please bring a copy of your ACS certificate (e.g. CCN1 & CENWAT) and you will also need to show that you have been on The GasSafe Register for at least 12 months. This can be done by providing front & back copies of your current & previous GasSafe Card, or by emailing enquiries@gassaferesigter.co.uk & register@gassaferegister.co.uk (feel free to CC in info@citytraining.com), asking them to confirm you have been on the register for 12+ months. This email will suffice as evidence if you do not have your GasSafe cards (e.g., you may have thrown away your previous one by now).

Renewal: To undertake renewal, operatives must complete the course no more than 12 months after the expiry date of their existing qualification. The re-assessment can be completed up to six months before this expiry date without losing any time on your future expiry date. please ensure you bring a copy of your previous LPG certificate as UKAS will no longer accept GasSafe cards. Contact your previous training centre or certification body (e.g., Cert-ain, BPEC, LCL, NICEIC, Blue-Flame etc.)

All delegates will need to bring a photo ID and one passport-sized photo to the course.
