To help you get started, City Training Group, in partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, is offering a fully funded 4-day ‘Introduction to Construction’ course designed to equip you with the core knowledge and practical understanding needed to build your future in the industry.

 

This hands-on, immersive course covers key topics that are essential for anyone entering the sector, including:

  • Health and Safety in Construction – Learn about workplace safety, regulations, and your responsibilities on-site.

  • Asbestos Awareness – Understand the risks and safe management of asbestos in buildings.

  • Gas Safety Awareness – Discover how to identify and handle gas hazards safely.

  • Water Regulations – Gain insight into water management, conservation, and compliance standards.

We’re offering two opportunities to attend:

  • Workshop 1: 21st – 25th April 2025

  • Workshop 2: 19th – 23rd May 2025

This course is completely free for eligible learners. To qualify, you must:
✅ Be aged 16 or over
✅ Not currently be enrolled in other further or higher education or Welsh Government funded Work-Based Learning
✅ Legally reside in Wales
